The character of the High Hammered texture by Industria

We are imperfect, just as no two leaves, and no two trees are exactly alike in shape and texture. We appreciate design that is organic because of its familiarity; imbuing an essence much like our own selves. Industria is comfortable in imperfection because of this essence; mirroring our depths, friction, and tension. Industrial in method but human in expression; much of our pieces’ character is hammered, forged, etched, embossed, blasted, and weathered onto its surface, curating a handshake that is unique yet warm.

The Vitti collection debuted a new texture in 2024, inspired by the tactile strength of sinewy vines — the High Hammered texture. An elevated form of battering metal, it practically crushes its surface, to achieve brutal beauty.

The Vitti Lounge Chair recalls Scandinavian arm chair silhouettes, 85cm in width, 41cm seat height. It features high hammered textured arms, legs and frame in a black pewter color with bronze highlights, reaching around a tricolor stitched forest green and blue upholstered foam. Its curved back is detailed with a subtle ruffled edge.

The Vitti lounge chair was designed with a comfortable friction in mind, some parts rugged yet plush, refined yet unpredictable. A twilight forest colored fabric was chosen for the Vitti Lounge Chair to oppose the brutal yet rich High Hammered finish on the arms and legs. A curious tension stirs, like gently finding your way through a tropical rainforest after all day light has ceased. Industria invites you to toe this line of tension, in the textural worlds painted within our pieces.

They blend into a space through contrast, offering a touch of brutality and warmth in an interior landscape. Imperfect, in comparison, but a balanced contrast to an otherwise pristine scheme — like vines curling outwards in search of connection.
