Industria’s metal furniture design and artistry is helmed by a design ethos of continual discovery of elemental beauty. At surface level, discovery at Industria means forging raw textures in intuitively refined forms inspired by human memory. Historically, metal has marked pivotal artifacts in human innovation. Just as it marked the workshop’s provenance; from iron fabrication in a backyard, to scaling the medium’s possibilities.

Metal as a medium has since characterized the design intent in each Industria piece, possessing qualities that are enduring, shapeshifting and regenerative. Decades later, Industria is anchored in its mastery of the material, while navigating pathways to further innovate, beyond metal.

The Loopy is Industria’s architecture-inspired lounge chair pulled together by tension and stature. The looping energy imbued by its forged steel base provides a catchment for its woven leather seat provoking an unfurling, or rest.

It is exemplary of our values for midcentury design inspiration, and for the day-to-day inspiration that comes from moments of pause within a life in constant flux. The chair is 94cm tall, 92cm wide, base is forged in texture and comes in either black pewter or antique brass finishes, with either a dark brown or hunter green woven seat. The compact version stands 86cm tall and 78cm wide, for smaller spaces.

At depth, every strike of the hammer, every curve sculpted, carries an understanding in human sensibility.
