Industria’s style developed through continual discovery and honing of its craft. At its provenance as an artisan furniture brand, designer Jude Tiotuico sought insight from travel, and collaborators in Filipino interior design. Eric Paras was one, with an eye that enmeshed with Industria’s design vision. Founder of Artelano 11, Eric curated a design gallery of eccentric and transitional interior schemes in a repurposed heritage compound in Manila. “A modernist in love with the old world”, Eric Paras’ seminal design practice featured a style influenced by Art Deco, Bauhaus, and obscured local spaces. 

It was the perfect accomplice to Jude Tiotuico’s capricious metal craft imbued with human sensibility. Their partnership grew as Industria refined its timeless style — an ecosystem of storied nostalgia, patinated textures, and modernist values. Singular in its look, Industria went on to collaborate with Filipino design luminaries Budji Layug and Kenneth Cobonpue as part of Design Philippines beginning 2013 — crucial influences on the brand’s reverence for human scale, contrast and balance, and contributing to a timeless and more interesting interior scheme.
